Last October, I purchased a cake for my son that was absolutely delicious. However, when I ordered a cake for my friend's birthday on April 11, 2024, I was disappointed. Despite being the smallest marble cake for six people, it looked as though someone had simply split a white cake, added chocolate syrup, and put it back together. The two flavors didn't blend well, resulting in a dry, tasteless cake that was more like eating straight sugar. The saving grace was the whipped cream icing, which was quite good. I don't mind paying $22 for a cake as long as it's tasty, but this one missed the mark.

When I picked up the cake, it was beautifully decorated, but the box provided was too large for the 14-inch circle cake I ordered. I called the bakery and was told I could bring the cake back for a fix, but I didn't have time. When my sister took the cake back, they demanded a $15 decoration fee to correct their mistake. Frustrated, I stood my ground and insisted they fix it without additional charges. The owner eventually agreed, but blamed me for the mishap. The entire experience was stressful and disappointing, as the bakery should have used the correct box to avoid such issues. Moving forward, I hope Hermitage Bakery pays more attention to the packaging of their cakes to prevent customer dissatisfaction. If the owner or manager would like to discuss this further, I would appreciate a phone call as I have already shared my negative experience with others.
